The Society of Decorative Painters holds its 2011 International Conference and Expo at Century II Expo Hall May 17-21. This event offers more than 130 watercolor, oil, acrylic and colored pencil painting classes for skill levels from beginner to advanced painters.
The Expo will be open to the public Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Saturday, May 21, is FREE admission day! Admission on Thursday and Friday will be $10 for adults, $2 for children age 4-12, and free for children 3 and under. (You can get a coupon for $2 off admission here.)
You’ll find painting supplies and tools, design packets, and instructional videos on sale at the expo from at least a hundred major retailers. Watch painting demonstrations, try your hand at something new, and rub elbows with some very talented people.
The Expo will be open:
- Thursday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Although the pre-registration deadline for conference attendees has passed, you may register in person beginning May 17 for any classes that haven’t filled up.
