Wichita will bid farewell to its Lawrence-Dumont Stadium with a FREE event on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
The City of Wichita Park & Recreation department will host the farewell event from 2:30-9 p.m.
Take a Seat
Update: If you want to buy a seat – like, literally take home a seat from Lawrence-Dumont Stadium – be there at 9 a.m. Prices, according to the City’s comments on the FB event, are:
- $35 blue seats
- $20 tan/blue seats
- $5 red seats
Lawrence-Dumont Farewell Activities
The Collegiate High School Marching Band will be there, and they’ll have to exposition softball games, fireworks, food trucks, live music from The Astronauts Band, and a baseball movie, The Love of the Game.
Since this is an outdoor event, keep an eye on the event page on Facebook in case it gets rained out. An event planned for last weekend at Lawrence-Dumont was canceled due to weather.
The city will be replacing Lawrence-Dumont with a new stadium and a Triple A baseball team.
