Fisch Haus gallery in the Commerce Street Art District in Wichita begins a Tuesday Night Jazz Series on Friday, April 5, 2016.

This is a four-week jazz series featuring regional musicians in a wide variety of styles and is FREE and open to the public.

The performances will be held on Tuesday nights during the month of April. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the shows start at 7:30 p.m. The lineup of performers include:

April 5 Wrong Kata Trio
April 12, 19, 26 Featured guitarist Mark Foley and Steve Hatfield as house band
April 30 polyGnome

Fisch Haus is switching up the format of our jazz series this year: the 2016 series will highlight jazz guitar, with a different guest guitarist featured April 12, 19, and 26. Highly acclaimed local musicians and educators, Dr. Mark Foley and Steve Hatfield, are curating those three performances, as well as playing backup for their chosen guitarists. The series kicks off on April 5, with the guitar kings themselves, the Wrong Kata Trio.

Fisch Haus is also hosting a special International Jazz Day celebration on Saturday, April 30th, at 7:30 p.m.: a night of original music starring polyGnome (David Lord, Sam Hake, and Zack Lorenson).

You are welcome to bring beverages for the performances but, of course, they ask that alcohol not be served to minors.
