On Friday, July 29, the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum will open the Treaty of the Little Arkansas exhibit. The exhibit is part of the museum’s Kansas Sesquicentennial programming. It will feature a reproduction of the Peace Treaty from the National Archives, an artistic depiction of the signing of the treaty, and a video of the treaty site today.
Also, the new Sunflower History Walking Trail in downtown Wichita will be alive with Cowtown’s historic re-enactors. These two events are free, although donations to the museum are welcome.
