Sharing is caring!
Are you looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for your special someone? How about a private Lovebirds Tour at Eagle Valley Raptor Center in Cheney, Kansas?
Eagle Valley Raptor Center is a rehabilitation facility that specializes in caring for native Kansas birds of prey. This includes eagles, hawks, owls, kites, falcons and vultures. EVRC cares for these injured animals until they are able to be returned back to their natural way of life. They also currently have 12 holding pens they built for the non-releasable birds. In addition, they have the largest flight pen for eagles in the region: 100 feet long by 20 feet tall by 20 feet wide. This flight pen allows EVRC to exercise and condition injured birds prior to their release.
The Lovebirds tour is available year round. Besides being a great Valentine’s Day gift, it would also make a great birthday present, anniversary gift or a gift for any other special occasion.
The cost is $50 per couple and includes a private, guided behind-the-scenes tour for you and your special someone. You will watch and learn how they train their raptors for educational programs and demonstrations. In addition, don’t forget to bring your camera for your up close photo opportunities and a photo of you and your “lovebird” in front of the Bald Eagle Love Nest. You will also receive a special “lovebird” souvenir from EVRC!
To schedule your tour, call Ken Lockwood at 316-393-0710 or email him at: raptorcare@aol.com. Eagle Valley Raptor Center is located at 927 N. 343rd St. W. in Cheney, Kansas.
