The Emerald City Chorus invites you to attend their seventh annual show, Curtain Up . . . A Broadway Revue!, which will be presented at the Scottish Rite Center Auditorium on September 28, 2013 at 7:30pm. A variety of your all-time favorite Broadway tunes from shows like Wicked, Oliver, Phantom of the Opera, and 42nd Street will leave you humming a melody all the way home!
Wichita on the Cheap readers will get a special discount on tickets. General admission tickets to the Emerald City Chorus annual concert are $16 each, but you can get a pair of tickets for $25 when you mention Wichita on the Cheap. This deal is only available when you order tickets by calling the chorus hotline at (316) 773-2619 and only when you mention Wichita on the Cheap.
Curtain Up will feature the entire Emerald City Chorus, four Emerald City quartets, and special guest quartets, LoveNotes and BoomTown.
The Emerald City Chorus is a Wichita chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit, worldwide music education association. In addition to putting on an annual show, Emerald City Chorus performs throughout the year at various venues and delivers singing Valentines in February.
LoveNotes is a Sweet Adelines International 2013 third-place quartet. These lovely young ladies have sung together since they were early teens and are sure to be a very entertaining addition to our show.
BoomTown is a fairly new men’s quartet with members from Kansas and Missouri that has taken local men’s barbershop by storm.
