Wichita’s Newest Jaw-Dropping Attraction
With the help of Presenting Sponsor, Mel Hambelton Ford, along with Premier Sponsors, Textron Aviation and Evergy and a dozen other local businesses and family sponsors, Botanica is proud to bring “Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors; to Wichita. “We’re excited for visitors to go on a global journey to discover which dinosaurs lived on the original continent configuration of Pangea,” said Jamee Ross, Director of Development; Marketing. “Guests will also learn how plate tectonics, land bridges and volcanic activity allowed dinosaurs to travel to all corners of the world.”
“Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors” is produced by Imagine Exhibitions, an organization focused on the development of high-quality STEM/STEAM content within their traveling exhibitions. Created in collaboration with world-renowned PhD dinosaur paleontologist Dr. Gregory M. Erickson (one of only 150 full-time professional dinosaur paleontologists in the world!), “Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors” brings exciting educational content to outdoor environments worldwide.
What Else Is There to Do While the Exhibit is on Display?
The exhibit will be accompanied by dino-riffic daily activities, art projects, dino tours, giant puzzles to build dinosaurs and special events. One such event is National Dinosaur Day on Thursday, June 1st, which features a presentation by a Kansas paleontologist and ends with the Dino’s at Dusk Party, a double feature movie night screening of The Land Before Time and Jurassic World and includes games, a photo booth, activities, prizes and more! Additional details and tickets for this evening’s celebration are now available online at Botanica’s website. Surprises of the exhibit also include dinosaur eggs, petrified bugs or fossil plants displayed in amber and so much more for the whole family to enjoy.
