In Mexico, Dia del Nino is a day of celebrating children. Wichita is joining in this year with La Plaza Celebration in ICT Popup Park Sunday afternoon, April 29.
They’ll have Mexican music, food, dancing, products for sale, and more fun from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The popup park is on Douglas Street downtown, just east of Main. You can park in front or along Market Street, but if those spots are all taken or you’re like me and don’t want to break out your rusty parallel parking skills, go around back to the metered spots on William.
And of course, bring the kids! Admission to the Dia del Nino La Plaza Celebration is FREE. You may want to bring some money for the food and shopping, though!
