Registration is open for this year’s Design and Grow Gardening Workshop from K-State Research and Extension.
They’ll be hosting the all-day gardening workshop on Saturday, February 2, 2019, but you need to register by January 25 because space is limited.
The cost for the workshop is only $15. Late registrations will be available if there is space, but the cost will be $25.
Boxed lunches for the day may be purchased in advance for $10.
The Design & Grow Gardening Workshop will be packed with ideas and information for both beginning and longtime gardeners. You’ll learn from the pros, get ideas for your garden and landscape, and be inspired to branch out into new plants and gardening experiences.
This year, Lenora Larson of Longlips Butterfly Farm in Paola, KS will be explaining which native plants are necessary for butterfly survival and how to incorporate them into your garden. Larson will also talk about which flowers are best for attracting adult butterflies to your yard.
Other topics during the day will include irrigation, composting, climate & gardening, houseplants, peonies, blackberries, pollinators, and more.
