Amira Dance Productions, the longest-running community dance studio in Wichita, is offering monthly, two-hour cultural dance workshops through January. No dance experience is necessary. Cost is $10 for each workshop, with a 50 percent discount if you already are a regular student at ADP.
The classes focus on Turkish dance, which goes back centuries to the Ottoman Empire and also when Roma were the entertainers. The classes, which can be taken independently or as part of a series, will be held 12:30 to 2:30 on two upcoming Saturdays, Dec. 17 and Jan. 14. Classes are held at the ADP studio, 1702 W. Douglas.
