The Arts Council will host a weekend of activities to celebrate the 10th birthday of CityArts.
On Friday, July 25, from 6-9 p.m., visit CityArts building in Old Town Square for free birthday cake, the 6th annual Sculpture WalkAbout unveiling, art demonstrations, and an art-themed scavenger hunt around Old Town. Friday evening’s events are free and open to the public.
On Saturday, a $50 ticket gets you into the CityArts Xtravaganza Gala from 7-9 p.m., which will include “Taste of Downtown” food stations, wine in keepsake glasses, silent and live auctions, and more. The focus of the evening will be the CityArts scholarship fund that is administered through the Arts Council. A limited number of gala tickets are currently on sale. They may be purchased online at WichitaTIX.com or at the door. Proceeds will support CityArts art class scholarships. CityArts is located at 334 N. Mead.
