City Arts is a museum in downtown Wichita. It has a free museum for the community and excellent art classes for all ages. This is where you can be creative and allow everyone to express themselves through art.
CityArts offers the opportunity to participate in diverse art programming throughout the year. Since it began in 1998, CityArts has been dedicated to providing education, information, and artistic opportunities to all community members.
CityArts is home to more than 35 professional artists who teach art to the community. In each session, these artists engage with students who learn how to create art pieces in a supportive community setting. Classes are offered in digital arts, photography, mixed media, silversmithing, glass fusing, glass blowing, painting, pottery, and drawing.
?CityArts offers student scholarships as part of its mission to ensure that all Wichitans have access to a creative community fostering discovery, understanding, connection and hope between people and cultures. Funding is based on availability, with scholarships awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Click HERE to apply.
Located in a three-story building in Wichita’s historic Old Town district, the facility was designed specifically to meet the needs of a community arts center in Wichita. CityArts provides year-round art classes, The Art Shoppe at CityArts, and four gallery spaces.
