Chick N Max in Wichita has introduced a special menu in response to current events. The new, more affordable Community Support Menu is available all day and includes several reduced-price selections, including a new $2 “Wichita Proud” boxed meal.
According to a press release from the fast-casual chicken restaurant earlier this week, the Community Support Menu is designed to make food more accessible to the whole Wichita community and will be offered for the foreseeable future.
In a second release on Thursday, the local chain announced it would also be launching the new $2 ready-to-eat boxed meal on Friday, March 20. The first Wichita Proud box will be available for take-out beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, while supplies last, with a limit of four boxes per guest.
The Wichita Proud box includes:
- 2 Smoked Drumsticks
- 1 side of White Beans or Southern Turnip Greens
- 1 roll
The company’s founder, Max Sheets, expressed heartbreak over the job losses and economic pain being experienced because of recent events. While we are a small local company, we feel compelled to take action to support our struggling neighbors,” Sheets said.
Other offerings on Chick N Max’s Community Support Menu include:
- The Signature Tenders Family Meal: 12 crispy Max Tenders, 2 Family Sides, and Choice of Bread for just $20
- 30 Wings for $20
- BOGO Original and Fried Chicken Sandwiches ($4.99)
Chick N Max has three locations in Wichita: 2350 N Greenwich Road, 3520 N. Maize Road, and 352 S. West St (at Maple).
