The Wichita Department of Park and Recreation is holding kayak clinics at Watson Park this spring and summer.
This would be so much fun! You’ll learn basic paddling and maneuvering techniques and receive a water safety primer, then spend the rest of the time with a leisurely trip on the water.
This clinic is for ages 10 and up, and it only costs $15. (Kids ages 10-15 need an adult on site.)
The clinics will be held at O.J. Watson Park on the dates below. They’ll have two sessions each morning:
- April 28
- May 26
- June 30
- July 21
You can register online (search “kayak” at that link) for either the early or later morning session.
The early session is from 8:30-10 a.m. and the later session is from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
