This will be Botanica’s big summer family event.
Formerly known as the Butterfly Festival, because it’s when Botanica’s Butterfly House officially opens, this event will celebrate all things “flight.”
The Take Flight Festival is on May 25, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will include activities relating to butterflies, planes, bees, birds, kites, and more.
This year, Botanica will also celebrate the Grand Opening of the Alexander Bee House during the Take Flight Festival.
Throughout the day they’ll have activities in the gardens. Play games, learn, and enjoy projects related to anything that flies.
The first 100 kids will get to release a butterfly into the butterfly house.
Admission is $10 for non-members and $7 for members, which is slightly higher than regular admission. You can wait and get your tickets at the door or you can purchase them online at the Botanica website event page.
Be sure to bring your camera; this should be a beautiful time to snap some photos.
