The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is making its stop in Wichita on September 11, 2012. The films in the annual tour all relate to the outdoors, whether exploration and adventure, culture and environment, or mountain sports.
The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival is held each November in Banff, Alberta, Canada, then immediately takes its show on the road with a selection of the best films from that year’s festival. The tour includes stops in 32 countries with over 635 screenings.
The Wichita screening will be held Tuesday at the Orpheum Theater. Tickets for the event are only $15 each, and can be purchased at Backwoods in Bradley Fair, Bicycle Pedaler, or Select-A-Seat locations (Dillons superstores, SelectASeat.com, plant employee clubs, or by phone at 755-7328).
