Friends University will host best-selling author Ulrich Boser for the annual Willard and Jean Garvey lecture series. The Science of TRUST and Why It Matters will be free and open to the public. The lecture will be held on April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Davis Administration Building.
The Willard and Jean Garvey Lecture series has presented speakers throughout the years that address social problems. Trust is a universal issue that can help anyone with any background work through issues in personal or professional relationships. Boser’s book about social trust, The Leap, was called “recommended reading” by Forbes magazine, and “smart, engrossing and compulsively readable,” by former NPR chief Ken Stern.
