Aero Plains Brewing, KPTS Channel 8, and KFDI radio have teamed up to present An Evening of Country Music this Thursday, August 29.
The event begins at 7 p.m. and includes live country music and a screening of Kansas Country, and a sneak peek of the upcoming PBS country music series by Ken Burns.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Just plan some spending money for Aero Plains micro-brews.
From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Jared Brown & The Dirt Road Misfits will play and micro-brews will be on tap. Then from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m, you can watch a sneak peek of the Ken Burns film, Country Music which will be coming to PBS and Kansas Country.
Ken Burns’ Country Music is a 16-hour documentary chronicling the history of country music. It premieres on KPTS Channel 8 on September 15, 2019.
Kansas Country is a documentary produced by KPTS Channel 8 about Kansas’ contribution to country music from the beginning until now. It includes interviews with Johnny Western and Logan Mize. This fast-paced, informative 30-minute documentary will air on September 13 at 8 p.m. and on September 19 at 7 p.m.
Aero Plains is located at 711 N. Handley, which is just off Douglas in the Delano District of Wichita.
