What’s cheap to do this weekend? Well, if you’re energetic type you’ll have lots to keep you busy:
Friday
- Get your FREE Bag of Chips at Dillons between 3 and 8 p.m. today.
- Don’t forget to check your Daily Deals for Friday. They have some good ones!
- First Friday usually include lots of music and lots of specials at various venues in Wichita. Look here for a list of First Friday venues.
- Get $3 off Tickets to Sesame Street Live this weekend.
- The Kansas Junior Quarter Show at the Kansas Pavilions will give equestrians in your family their “horse fix” for free.
Saturday
- Go to college for free. The Free Class Day from Butler County Community College offers lessons in everything from business to crochet at four different locations, and it’s all for free.
- Learn how to Grow Good Food with this workshop from the Sedgwick County Extension. There may still be time to register for these free and cheap workshops.
- Have a daughter who’s interested in scouting? Bring here to check out different options at Girl Scouts Summer Camp Sampler at the Girl Scout Center on Lexington in Wichita.
- Save 1/2 off your tickets to see 1/2 Way to Winfield at the Orpheum Theater. Regular admission is $20, but you can get in for $10 with this discount.
Sunday
- Sunday is a good day for clipping your coupons and planning your shopping list. Coupons.com has added about a zillion new coupons, some up to $1.00 off, at its site this month.
- You might prefer to spend the afternoon reading. This $1 off coupon for Kobo Books makes 100s of eBooks at the site FREE.
- Flea markets are another great way to find books (and other things) for cheap. This Sunday the big Mid-America Flea Market is back at the Kansas Pavilions.
- Later enjoy the Wizard of Oz Sing-Along at the Orpheum Theater. Sounds like lots of fun for only $5 a ticket.
- Sesame Street Live continues.
- The Kansas Junior Quarter Horse Show continues.
