The mad rush of holiday shopping is over (yay!), but if you have some spending money left over you can take advantage of several after-Christmas sales at Wichita museum stores.
I believe these all end on New Year’s eve, December 31. Double-check the dates and times with each venue before you head out for some weekend shopping. Oh – and from what I understand, none of the museum stores require that you pay admission if you’re just coming in to shop.
The Wichita Art Museum After-Christmas Sale
The Art Museum’s gift shop has markdowns and sale prices on unique and one-of-a-kind items, with discounts of up to 50-70% off. Plus, museum members receive an additional 10% discount as a benefit of membership. The sale ends Sunday, December 31. Store is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Exploration Place Explore Store Glass Sale
Exploraton Place is having a sale with 20% off all glass items in the Explore Store. No admission is required to shop in the store. Sale ends Sunday, December 31. Hours are Friday noon to 5 p.m, Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
Botanica Storewide Sale
The gift shop inside Botanica will have discounts of 50% off throughout the store, with some exclusions. Exclusions include Pony Tails books, honey, and snacks. Sale ends Sunday, December 31.
