LifeVentures: Your place to keep knowing and growingLifeVentures Kansas is a non-profit, interfaith community that offers learning and social activities for adults ages 55 and up.

Each spring and fall, LifeVentures organizes Adventures in Learning, a fun and educational 8-week program featuring guest speakers, group discussions, socializing, catered meals, and entertainment.

The Spring 2020 session begins in mid-March, and registration is open now!

They have a great lineup of guest speakers on a variety of different topics, including:

  • Professor Ken Spurgeon – History through the Lens of Hollywood
  • Dagni Andres – My Family’s Escape to Freedom
  • Cynthia Berner – History of Little Golden Books
  • State Trooper Chad Crittenden – Current Fraud Issues
  • Amanda Alessi – Great Plains Nature Center: A Wildlife Oasis in the City

There are literally too many speakers to list, but you can download the entire schedule with your registration form. Adventures in Learning Spring 2020 Registration Form Register by March 10, 2020.

Adventures in Learning adult learning and social group

Registration is open now for the spring 2020 session, which will begin on Tuesday, March 17. A $60 fee covers all eight weeks of the program. Lunch is available for an additional $9 per week, or you can bring your own lunch.

Registration is due by March 10.

Schedule & Location

Adventures in Learning begins March 17 and continues through May 5, 2020. Sessions are held on Tuesdays from 8:45 a.m. until approximately 2:15 p.m.

The day begins with coffee, snacks, and socializing and continues with guest speakers, activities, entertainment, lunch, and lectures.

Each week, a variety of topics and activities are offered, including:

  • History
  • Books
  • Creative Writing: Poetry
  • Potpourri
  • Travel
  • Religion
  • Readers Theatre

You can attend as many classes as you like during the session for one registration fee.

Registration fee of $60 is due by March 10. If you would like to have the catered lunch, reservations are due the week before each class. Lunch is $9. (A chef’s menu is provided in the registration materials.) You can also bring your own lunch if you like.
