The whole family is invited to a free introductory CPR training event from the American Heart Association on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Kids will learn how to call 911, meet Wichita Police Department officers and see the inside of an ambulance and fire truck, and everyone will be able to watch demonstrations of basic CPR and other rescue techniques, get their blood pressure checked, and learn how to make healthy meals and snacks. Sandwiches from Jimmy Johns will be available.
The event will be held at Cardiovascular Consultants of Kansas, 9350 E. 35th Street North in Wichita from 10 a.m. to noon. It is free and open to the public.
