Friday, April 29th at 11 a.m., the mayor and others will be cutting the ribbon on the 21st Street reconstruction project and opening the new NOMAR International Plaza to the public.
NOMAR International Plaza, which features a multi-use plaza and a 1,000-square-foot building with office space, public restrooms and an outdoor cultural market. It is designed to transform a culturally vibrant neighborhood into Wichita’s next destination, offering authentic food and an entertainment venue.
The International Plaza will be a new venue for community events, including a Cinco de Mayo celebration scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2011. (I’ll post more details about the event if I can get them.)
