If you’re looking for a fun and FREE way to get the kids outside this fall, Great Plains Nature Center is bringing back Trail Tots! This weekly program gives young explorers a chance to learn about nature while walking the trails at Chisholm Creek Park.
Trail Tots takes place every Wednesday in September and October from 10 to 11 a.m. Each week, kids will head out on a guided half-mile walk along the Quail Trail with a different nature-centered activity or hands-on learning experience.
The program is designed especially for kids ages 2 to 10, although everyone is welcome. I love activities like this because kids get to explore, ask questions, move around, and learn about the world around them at the same time.
