Kitchen tools donation drive

Sharing is caring!

Do you have some gently used or new kitchen tools you would like to donate to those in need? K-State Research and Extension has begun a community donation initiative called Kitchen Restore that will provide essential tools for making healthy meals to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

The Kitchen Restore donation drive will be held at the end of July 2021. (See the items they need in the list below. )

The mission of Kitchen Restore is to provide “starter kits” to those individuals and families in need. These are items many of us already have in our kitchens and take for granted, but without them it is nearly impossible to cook nutritious meals. Those who don’t have them end up relying on ultra-processed and prepared foods that can lead to unhealthy eating patterns that put them at risk for poor health.
