Regal Cinemas announced that its theatres will begin to reopen U.S. locations on Friday, August 21 with a $5 ticket promotion.
The first new release won’t happen until September 3 with the movie Tenet, but like its competitor, AMC, the Regal Warren theaters will start off with a series of much-loved older movies with discounted ticket prices.
The first two Regal theaters to reopen in Wichita will be the Warren West & IMAX on W. 21st Street and the Warren East on E. 13th, which will open August 21, 2020.
The company says it will enforce its previously released health and safety measures, which include requiring guests to wear face masks, empty seats between groups, increased fresh air circulation in the theaters, and suspending free drink and popcorn refills, among other things. They’re calling the reopening promotion Flashback Features, and tickets will be just $5 each for these discounted movies. (Kids’ tickets are just $3.)
