Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Living History Rendezvous

Sharing is caring!

Travel through time to the 1800s and see firsthand what life was like in America in the 19th century. The Living History Rendezvous brings re-enactors from all across Kansas and the U.S. to provide an authentic and historically accurate portrayal of that time period, and educates as it entertains. It’s also FREE to attend and open to the public.

The Living History Rendezvous will transform Riggs Park in Haysville into a place from another time November 3-6, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Families and individuals of all ages will enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities. Some activities, like buggy rides or making homemade ice cream, require the purchase of a modestly priced ticket. Food will also be available for purchase at the south end of the park, and apple cider will also be for sale.

Some of the participants are actual descendants of the Haysville frontier men and women they are portraying. The non-profit group’s goal is to introduce people of all ages to our collective American history with this “firsthand” experience. Many of the re-enactors will be camping in the park 24/7 during the rendezvous.
