When you buy any dozen doughnuts on Krispy Kreme’s birthday, you can get a dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts for FREE!
They will also be extending their Hot Light hours for the day.
That’s a lot of doughnuts, so if you’re not having a party or you don’t have an office full of co-workers to treat, you might be wondering whether you should take advantage of this BOGO dozen deal. (Or searching for any excuse, lol. Whatever the case may be, we won’t tell.)
Here’s the thing: you can freeze glazed doughnuts! This really works – just pop them into the freezer in the box. When you want a doughnut, you can take it out and reheat it for a few seconds in the microwave.
I know this because when I was growing up, we sold dozens of Krispy Kreme doughnuts in school fundraisers, and of course that meant my parents were on the hook to buy any that were left over. The reheated doughnuts don’t have that fresh-from-the-oven deliciousness, but they’re still good. 🙂
