Starbucks Happy Hour – BOGO Free Drink on Thursdays

Sharing is caring!

Starbucks is again changing its popular happy hour promos…this time, for the better. The changes give customers more clarity and choices.

First, if you didn’t know, the discounted pricing is only open to members of its Starbucks Rewards loyalty program. You must download its app and become a Starbucks Rewards member. When the happy hour special is available, you will find the required digital coupon on the app.

(Starbucks Rewards members automatically have the offer loaded onto their account — good for one-use only.)

This new version of the Starbucks Happy Hour is improved in a few ways – it used to be offered on random weekdays, from 3-7 p.m., and it was usually only for a specific beverage. (If you didn’t like that drink, it wasn’t a good deal for you.)

However, moving forward, here are the (positive) changes…

  • The offer will be on select Thursdays (Starbucks usually gives members a few days’ notice.)
  • Happy Hour is now an hour longer, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Best of all, the offer will be for a buy-one-get-one-FREE on ANY handcrafted drink, grande or larger. (Yum!)

If you’re not a member, you can sign up at starbucks.com/happyhour. Then, usually a day or two before a happy hour special, get a notice in your inbox. You will be sent a one-time use discount barcode to scan at check-out, which you can print or show on your smartphone.

Wichita has more than a dozen Starbucks locations, including the ones inside some Dillons and Target stores. As usual, the offer states that the deal is at “participating locations,” so you might want to ask before you order at your nearest Wichita Starbucks.
