The City of Derby, Kansas, has announced plans for a fun 4th of July fireworks show and a day full of activities, including a firecracker race, an Independence Day parade, Rock River Rapids waterpark, and more.
I highly recommend putting the 4th of July parade on your schedule this year. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday. From festive floats and marching bands to waving flags and smiling faces, there’s something special about a parade that brings the whole community together. Everyone loves a FREE parade, and this one is sure to deliver all the fun and feel-good moments that make Independence Day so memorable.

Personal fireworks are not allowed during the event, so leave your sparklers and other items at home. The official Derby fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:40 p.m.
ADA parking will be available at the Darrell Zimmerman Family Shelter parking lot.
