  1. It has come to my attention that baby elephants born into the Ringling Brothers circus are abused and separated from their parents at a very young age. I will take great care to make sure that none of my family members or friends support or attend the shows of Ringling Bros. until all the animals are removed from such an unnatural, stressful environment and placed in better care and healthier habitats. Until this happens, I am boycotting all circuses which feature animals. Animals are not items to be shown off and paraded around. They are living, breathing creatures who can feel love, pain, and fear.

    1. Eleanor, I hope that you also are vegan, raise your kids in a vegan lifestyle, don’t walk your dog, buy pets from anywhere but the Humane Society, don’t have birds, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs or any other caged animals, don’t go to zoos, SeaWorld, Tanganyika or any other parks of the like, and are Hindu. If you answer “I do/I am” to any of the statements above, you are nothing but a hypocrite and should be dismissed as such.

In light of your intolerance and insistence on being that person who just HAS to tell everyone else what to do, feel, and how to raise their own families, I’m going to be taking my family to the Ringling Bros. Circus no less than three times this weekend. I will also do my best to invite other families to partake on the entertainment which you so callously dismiss.

Oh, and I’ll be using Wichita on the Cheap to get all of those circus tickets at a discount!

      1. Let’s just all have fun. 🙂 Each of us gets to choose what fantastic deals we’re going to take advantage of.

While I appreciate the validity of this discussion, it’s better left to other types of forums. I’m not going to approve any more comments on the subject. Thanks, both, for your opinions.

If you want to comment on the circus itself, or ask a question about the deal, comment away!
