We went to Drums Across Kansas last year and it was a terrific event. Seven of the top high school drum corps from across the country gather for a friendly competition of marching, flags, and percussion and brass instruments. It’s fun to see what they can do.
Drums Across Kansas 2012 will be held Tuesday, July 17 at Cessna Stadium on the WSU Campus at 7 p.m. It’s a benefit for the Starkey Foundation, community-based nonprofit organization in Sedgwick County that serves individuals with disabilities.
Although you can sometimes score free tickets through sponsor companies (and I’ll tell you about those as soon as I know something), there are currently two deal sites I’m aware of that are offering half-price tickets to the event:
