The Mid-America All Indian Center will host the Indian Festival this weekend, July 9 and 10, 2011 at the Century II Expo Hall downtown. Doors open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The Indian Festival includes powwows both days, educational displays and presentations, children’s crafts and contests. The powwow grand entries are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and again at 1 p.m. on Sunday. See the full schedule of events at the MAAIC website here.
Adult admission is $5; a two-day pass is $8. Elders (55+) and active duty military admission is $4. Youth ages 6 through 16 pay $3. Children 5 and under are free.
