The Kansas Aviation Museum will be opening a new exhibit, “Stories of the Stearman 4D,” on Thursday, March 10, 2011. The exhibit features a Texaco Stearman Model 4D (aka the “Texaco 11”), currently undergoing restoration at the Kansas Aviation Museum.
To celebrate the exhibit opening, the museum is hosting a free open house from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Learn more about the history of this type of plane, and get behind-the-scenes information about the restoration of the Stearman in the Kansas Aviation Museum’s exhibit.
Light refreshments will be served. The open house includes full access to the museum.
