Whitewater Library summer concert

The Whitewater Library is hosting a free summer concert and cookout on Monday evening, June 4.
Musical performances will be provided by the Haymakers (featuring Barry “Bones” Patton – see the video below), guitarist and vocalist Kyle Thiessen, bagpipes player Ryan Evans, and rappers Corbin Hutchinson and David Fasnacht.

(Watch the video below, where Sierra Scott tells us about the best bones player in the whole world, who lives in Winfield, Kansas.)

Burgers, hot dogs, and snow cones will be for sale, and the they’ll have information booths from several local organizations.

The summer concert will be held on the Federated Church south lawn in Whitewater. The backup location in case of inclement weather will be 212 S. Main. Whitewater, Kansas, is just about 30 minutes or so northeast of Wichita.

Bring your own lawn chairs or blanket.

Families will love this; they’ll have kids activities, face painting, and more. Kids in the Whitewater Library area can also sign up for the summer reading program at the event.

You can check out their Facebook event for more information.
