Bring your lawn chairs to the Mid-America All-Indian Center Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1st for the 39th Annual Powwow. It’s free and open to the public.
On Saturday, the food vendors will be open for business at noon. Gourd dancing begins at 1 p.m. for the rest of the afternoon, with a supper break at 5 p.m. The evening events resume with the Grand Entry at 7 p.m. and the Intertribal Dance and Contest until 10 p.m.
The Center opens again for lunch on Sunday at noon, and the Gourd Dancing, Intertribal Dancing, and Contest Finals go until 6 p.m.
