Throughout the month of October, Great Clips salons in Derby, Hutchinson, Salina and Wichita will host a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network. At participating salons, when you purchase a $1 paper balloon the proceeds benefit CMN Hospitals and you receive a coupon for $2 off a future haircut in November or December.
So essentially, you save some money on a haircut and support a good cause.
The funds raised during this campaign go directly to CMN Hospitals to provide things such as assistance with mileage to and from medical appointments, help with purchasing medical equipment and assistance with prescription drugs for the 50,000 sick and injured children treated annually.
“Great Clips has a strong belief in giving back to the communities where we live and operate, raising nearly $2 million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since the inception of the miracle balloon campaign in 2005,” said Terri Miller, vice president of marketing and communications for Great Clips. “The generosity of all the people associated with Great Clips — either as an owner, stylist or customer — help make this campaign a success.”
Locally, Great Clips raised more than $7,000 in 2012 for CMN Hospitals at Via Christi Health.
