The Mid-America All-Indian Center is hosting the Culture Dash 5K, a fundraiser for the center’s programs that preserve American Indian history and culture. Early-bird registration is $25 until October 24.
The Culture Dash 5K is for both competitive racers and casual participants. The route follows a USATF certified course along the Arkansas River and finishes at the Keeper of the Plains statue. Everyone who reaches the finish line will be greeted by an array of activities inside the Indian Center.
As part of the big event, the center is offering $1 museum admission to everyone, and free admission to race participants with their shirt or bib. Activities include face-painting, kids’ crafts, art and craft booths, and more.
Race registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m. A Tot Trot (free) will be held at 10:30 a.m. Awards will be presented at 10:45 a.m. at the Keeper statue.
