The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be one of the biggest sporting events in history, and for Wichita-area soccer fans, the exciting part is that the action is just a few hours up the road in Kansas City.
For the first time ever, the World Cup will feature 48 teams and 104 matches across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament runs from June 11 through July 19, 2026.
For Kansans, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Instead of flying across the country or across the world, you can drive to Kansas City and experience World Cup excitement in person.

World Cup, Deals and How to Watch
World Cup games will be played in Kansas City, which has long been known as one of America’s soccer capitals, and FIFA selected the city to host six World Cup matches, including a quarterfinal match.
Kansas City will host:
• Four group-stage matches
• One Round of 32 match
• One quarterfinal match
All matches will be played at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, which FIFA will refer to as “Kansas City Stadium” during the tournament

How to Watch the World Cup
If you don’t plan to attend a match in person, you’ll still have plenty of viewing options.
In the United States:
• FOX and FS1 will broadcast every match in English
• Telemundo and Universo will broadcast every match in Spanish
• FOX One and the FOX Sports App will stream matches
• Many streaming services, including Fubo, will carry World Cup coverage
