See the newest version of this post: Smallgrass at Exploration Place
Smallgrass is the newest addition to Tallgrass Film Festival. It’s a children’s film program that will be shown at Exploration Place during the 10th annual Tallgrass Film Festival.
Smallgrass begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 20, 2012. Admission is $7 per person ($5 for members of TFA, Exploration Place, or KPTS Kids Club) and includes three film programs plus admission to Exploration Place exhibits.
Films include the short film programs KID FLIX MIX (recommended for ages 3-8) and PARTY MIX (recommended for ages 8-18) from the Best of the New York International Children’s Film Festival, and the feature length comedy IRA FINKELSTEIN’S CHRISTMAS, about a Christmas-obsessed Jewish boy who on his way to sunny Florida figures out how to get the Christmas of his dreams by trading places with another boy on his way to snowy Christmastown, WA. The film also features Elliott Gould, winner of the 2011 Tallgrass Film Festival Ad Astra Award, as Ira Finkelstein’s grandfather. There will be activities between each film program, children can have their photo taken with The Cat in the Hat live character, and refreshments will be for sale in the Exploration Place snack bar.
Smallgrass is the result of a team effort by the Tallgrass Film Festival, Exploration Place, and the KPTS Kids Club.
