Stay safe online and learn more about FREE ways to develop or improve your digital skills. Baird Private Wealth Management and Goodwill Industries of Kansas are teaming up to talk about cybersecurity and the importance of digital skills with the community this Thursday, November 8, 2018.
This general session is intended for audiences of all skill levels and interests.
Dennis Weishan, Technology Solutions Director for Baird Private Wealth Management, and Paula Fogarty, who works with Grow with Google, will share about cybersecurity, how to protect your identity, what phishing looks like and other basic warnings to keep personal information and passwords safe.
They will further explain the need for digital skills for day-to-day activities and introduce you to Google’s free Applied Digital Skills curriculum and how it can help you with everything from everyday digital tasks to budgeting and creating a business plan, all using G Suite.
The information will be presented at the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex in Room 180. The complex is part of Wichita State University and is just north of WSU’s main campus on North Oliver Street in Wichita.
There are two presentations on the same day, Thursday, November 8, that you can choose from.
