Wichita 4th of July: Red, White, and Boom at Riverfront Stadium

Sharing is caring!

Celebrate the 4th of July with Wichita’s biggest Independence Day party, Red, White & BOOM, in downtown Wichita. This FREE event is open to the public. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m., and food trucks will surround the area of Century II. Then, enjoy the fireworks in downtown Wichita.

This spectacular event, presented by Evergy and co-sponsored by the Wichita Parks Foundation and Wichita Park & Recreation, is said to be the largest fireworks display in the region.

Food Vendors: A variety of food trucks will be along Douglas Avenue, north of Century II for spectators to enjoy starting at 6pm.

Watching the Fireworks: Find a spot at Kennedy Plaza, located outside Century II. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on while you wait for the show to start. Watching the festive fireworks from the plaza is a tradition you don’t want to miss!

Closures: To ensure safety, road closures will begin at 4:00 p.m. and reopen around 10:30 p.m. (or when safe).
