Wichita 4th of July: Red, White, and Boom: Downtown Wichita 2026

Celebrate the 4th of July with Wichita’s biggest Independence Day party, Red, White & BOOM, in downtown Wichita. This FREE event is open to the public. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m., and food trucks will surround the area of Century II. Then, enjoy the fireworks in downtown Wichita.

This spectacular event, presented by Evergy and co-sponsored by the Wichita Parks Foundation and Wichita Park & Recreation, is said to be the largest fireworks display in the region.

• Fireworks begin around 9:30 pm
• Starts immediately following the Wind Surge fireworks at Equity Bank Park
• Fireworks will be choreographed to music
• Guests can use the Pyrocast App or scan a QR code onsite to sync the music with the show

Bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a summer night of fireworks in downtown Wichita.

Food & Festivities

Starting at 6:00 pm:

• Food vendors will line Douglas Avenue north of Century II
• Grab dinner and snacks from local vendors
• Enjoy the evening with friends and family before the fireworks begin

Road Closures & Safety

Location: Downtown at Century II Kennedy Plaza
Cost: The Fourth of July celebration, concert, and fireworks are all FREE; bring money for the food trucks and beer garden if you would like.
