Via Christi will have a series of four nutrition classes scheduled to begin in early December. The classes, taught by registered dietitians, are $5 each. December 1 – Heart Healthy Nutrition Understand cholesterol, fiber and healthy oils and guide you to an overall heart healthy lifestyle.
December 8 – Shaking it Up and Spitting Out the Facts – Learn how to include lower-sodium options with flavor, increase whole grains and understand food labels.
December 15 – Cooking Up a Healthy Heart – Learn low-fat cooking techniques and healthy cooking substitutions, and receive recipe modification tips.
December 22 – Survival Skills for Dining Out – Learn how to make the best choices for your heart when eating out and explore restaurant menus.
