Bike Walk Wichita is a local non-profit organization that promotes safe active transportation in Wichita and South Central Kansas.
They have several events coming up that are open to the public, so feel free to join in the fun!
April 28, 5-7 p.m. WSU Sculpture Tour – Meet at the Ulrich Museum on campus at Wichita State University for a guided walking tour of some of WSU’s outdoor sculptures. Check the Facebook event page for any weather-related schedule changes. Free admission. Kid-friendly.
May 4, 6-9 p.m. Join Bike Walk Wichita at the Wichita Art Museum for Bike Night & Movie! This event will be a kickoff for Bike Month. They’ll have art, appetizers, and will show Bicycle: The Film, which is a movie about the history of the British bicycle. Admission is $5 per person; free for WAM members. Doors open at 6 p.m. for art and mingling; the movie begins at 7 p.m. Bike parking is provided – just remember to bring a lock.
They offer a variety of bicycling classes throughout the year, for everyone from beginner to advanced riders. Here is just a sample of the classes they make available:
