FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sarah’s Love Announces “A Night of
Hope” Annual Benefit Dinner and Calls for Community Sponsors, Auction
Donations, and Child Sponsorships

Wichita, Kansas — 9/2/2026 — Sarah’s Love, a
nonprofit organization serving vulnerable children in Uganda through
education, care, mentoring, and the love of Jesus, invites the community
to A Night of Hope, its first annual fundraising benefit dinner and auction on October 6.

The
evening will bring together local businesses, individuals, churches,
and community partners for a traditional Ugandan dinner, inspiring
stories, fellowship, and both live and silent auctions. Proceeds will
help Sarah’s Love continue providing essential support for children in
Uganda, including school tuition, supplies, uniforms, meals, medical
care, safe housing, discipleship, staffing, and operational needs.

Sarah’s Love currently supports 83 students
in school, including young people who have been part of the ministry
for more than six years. 19 of these students are under-sponsored,
meaning it would take at least one more sponsor at $36 per month to be fully sponsored.

Of the 83 students in school, 78 attend boarding school,
while five attend non-boarding schools. The organization also supports
four college students pursuing careers in education, law, engineering,
and social work.

“Our goal is not simply to help children attend
school,” said Beatrice Purvis, founder of Sarah’s Love. “We want to help
create lasting hope by caring for the whole child—body, mind, and
spirit. Through education, safe housing, meals, medical care, mentoring,
and discipleship, these children are being given opportunities to build
a different future.”

In addition to its education ministry,
Sarah’s Love operates a center that provides a safe, encouraging
environment for children during school holidays. 31 of our sponsored
students attend the center during holiday three times a week, alongside
more than 20
additional children from the surrounding community.
During the end-of-year school holidays, which lead into the end of
February, the total number at the center can be as many as 70 children!
Both sponsored and
community kids receive two hot meals, participate in fellowship and
devotionals, read books, play games, complete schoolwork, and enjoy a
place where they can simply be children away from difficult
circumstances at home.

This year’s benefit dinner has several important goals:

  • Secure sponsorship for at least 17 children who still need monthly sponsors.
  • Increase the number of children supported in school from the current 83 toward a goal of at least 100.
  • Raise
funds for our community center program, food, medical needs, safe
housing, educational expenses, staff salaries, and ongoing ministry
    operations.
  • Invite businesses and organizations to become Hope Partner Sponsors for the event.
  • Collect high-quality products, services, experiences, gift baskets, and other donated items for the live and silent auctions.
  • Encourage individuals, families, churches, and businesses to contribute to the benefit dinner fundraising campaign.

Community
businesses and organizations are encouraged to consider becoming a Hope
Partner Sponsor. Sponsorship support helps make the event possible
while expanding Sarah’s Love’s ability to serve children in Uganda.
Sponsorship opportunities close September 15.

Sarah’s
Love is also seeking auction donations from area businesses and
individuals. Donated items may include products, professional services,
restaurant certificates, lodging, event tickets, family experiences,
home goods, artwork, gift baskets, wellness services, and other items
that can help generate critical funds during the live and silent
auctions. Every donated auction item can help provide tangible care—from
a child’s school supplies or medical needs to meals and safe support
during school breaks.

“Every contribution matters,” said Beatrice Purvis, founder of Sarah’s Love.
“Whether someone sponsors a child, gives an auction item, purchases a
ticket, becomes an event sponsor, or makes a campaign donation, they are
joining a global community committed to helping children in Uganda
grow, learn, and thrive.”

The benefit dinner is open to community
members, businesses, churches, and supporters who want to make a
meaningful difference. Seating is limited, and ticket sales close September 29. Business casual attire is requested.
