Free Electronic Waste Recycling Event

Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host free electronic waste recycling events April 23-25 and April 30-May 2, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Sedgwick County West Yard, 4701 S. West St.

Sedgwick County residents can safely dispose of computers, laptops, printers, televisions, cell phones, batteries, tablets, network devices (routers, modems, etc.), VCRs, DVD players, video games, scanners, fax machines, microwaves and more.

Sedgwick County contracts with a zero-waste vendor, so all electronics collected are reused or recycled. Nothing is thrown in a landfill or shipped overseas. Hard drives are erased or destroyed to prevent access to stored data. This collection is intended for individual households and businesses, excluding those selling or recycling electronics.
