The Wichita Boathouse will be the scene for the Final Friday Food Truck Rally each month. Admission is FREE for all ages. Many local artists & small business vendors will be set up at the Wichita Boathouse. There will be a booze truck, yard games, and more!
The monthly event starts at 5 p.m. on the last Friday and continues until 10 p.m. Live music typically plays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This event runs from March to October and allows people to come together, socialize, and connect with their community. Whether you’re with friends and family or meeting new people, the lively atmosphere of a food truck rally encourages interaction and conversation. This is great for our Wichita community; if you haven’t been, I highly recommend it.
Most Final Friday Food Truck Rallies have 20+ food trucks.
This is an outdoor event, and a neat bonus to that is the near the Waltzing Waters fountains – aka the Fountains at Waterwalk – to the Wichita Boathouse.

WaterWalk Fountains
If the Waterwalk Fountains are running, it’s fun to see and right next to the Food Truck Rally! The show is about 10—to 15 minutes long and incorporates music, lights, and water in a choreographed display to different genres of music, including country, classic rock, classical, and 80s rock. The fountains are located at 605 S Wichita Street, neat the Wichita Boathouse. They fountains are 150 feet long and have more than 1,200 custom-designed and patented nozzles.
Please note: Fountains do not operate when winds exceed 15 miles per hour.
Waterwalk Fountain Schedule:
- The regular fountain season runs from May through October.
- Five shows occur Thursday through Sunday at 7 pm, 8 pm, 9 pm, and 10 pm.
- Each show is 10 to 15 minutes long.
- Double-check the Waterwalk Fountain Hours because they do change them often.
Overall, the combination of delicious food, social interaction, outdoor ambiance, and support for local businesses makes gathering at a community food truck rally a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved.
