Doctor Who fans, get your Tardis started. Wichita will be host to a three-day Doctor Who convention in October 2015! Registering now will get you a discount on tickets for both kids and adults. (Dalek need not apply.)
The Time Eddy Doctor Who Convention will be held October 2-4, 2015 at the Best Western North Wichita hotel. Celebrity guests slated to attend include Ellis George, who played Doctor’s companion Courtney Wood in the most recent season of Doctor Who; the sixth Doctor, played by Colin Baker and his companion Peri Brown, played by Nicola Bryant; the Doctor’s traveling companions Dr. Grace Holloway, played by Daphne Ashbrook, Victoria Waterfield, played by Deborah Watling, Jo Grant, played by Katy Manning; Steven Taylor, played by Peter Purvis; and script editors Andrew Cartmel and Victor Pemberton.
The convention is being organized by the non-profit, fan-run Kansas Doctor Who Corporation. Wichita was chosen as the location for the convention because its within easy driving distance of Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Dallas. They’re advertising at Wichita on the Cheap because they still have a discount on tickets right now!
Register Now for Discounted Three-Day Passes
- The best deals are the three-day tickets for kids and adults. Your three-day pass entitles you to all panels, interviews, autograph sessions*, games, cosplay, and entrance to the merchandise areas for all three days. Regularly $75 for adults, the three-day pass is available until August 31 at the discounted rate of $60. Click here to register.
- Three-day Junior tickets, for kids ages 7-13 accompanied by an adult with a ticket, are also discounted until August 31. There’s a limit of two “juniors” per ticketed adult. The regular price for the three-day Junior Ticket is $55, but with the early-bird discount they’re only $40 each. Click here to register.
- If you can’t make it to all three days of the Doctor Who convention, just buy a ticket for the day you want to go. Single-day tickets are $30 or $35, depending on which day you want to go. There’s also a buy now, pay later option. Click here to register.
At the convention, you’ll meet actors and talk to writers from the show, mingle with other fans, and participate in the Who-themed activities, including a costume contest. Doctor Who merchandise will be for sale in the vendor area.
