Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

FREE and Cheap Organizing Resources

Sharing is caring!

Find free or cheap printable checklists and calendars, books, and other resources to help you stay organized this year.

This Kindle ebook is free (for now — always double-check the price before downloading from Amazon): Organize for a Fresh Start: Embrace Your Next Chapter in Life (Thanks, Houston on the Cheap!)

Motherhood on a Dime shared a deal for $1 off these printable chore checklists from Motivated Moms. The great thing about these is that they’re already filled in! I’m considering springing for them because I love the idea. Normally $8, use the coupon code 1OFF to get them for $7.

If clutter is the obstacle, this free clutter-busting calendar from My Simpler Life may be what you need. Again, the tasks are filled in for you each day, with some fun ones on Sunday like “Take a nap” or “Dance in your living room.” The rest of the week is pretty doable as well with an “eat the elephant” approach (as in: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time).

OrganizedHome.com has a huge collection of free printables to use in your Household Notebook (a 3-ring binder you put together yourself). These are blank pages that save you the trouble of formatting your own.

Of course, if you use Microsoft Office software, you can download many pre-formatted templates here. Just do a search using keywords like “exercise” or “meal plan” and you’ll find dozens of choices.

One of my favorite books on organizing is Julie Morgenstern’s Organizing from the Inside Out. The Wichita Public Library has about a half a dozen copies, and of course it’s also available at Amazon: Organizing from the Inside Out, Second Edition: The Foolproof System For Organizing Your Home, Your Office and Your Life

January is National Get Organized Month, and the second Monday in January is National Clean Off Your Desk Day. (If your desk is like mine, you might want to make it a week-long event.)
