May Day Sculpture WalkAbout in Wichita Old Town

Wichita’s sculpture walkabout is a very cool year-long art exhibit in the Old Town/Downtown area. Sculptures are located in Old Town between Douglas and Second Streets and on the INTRUST Bank Arena plaza.

On May 1, 2021, celebrate and explore the Sculpture Walkabout with the artists and members of the Arts Council present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at CityArts.

The artistic program was initiated to showcase work by area artists and contribute to the “walkable” quality of the city. All of the art in the exhibit is available for purchase, but it will remain in the walkabout until new artwork is installed the following year.

A self-guided walking tour of all the sculptures is a fun and FREE way to get out and enjoy the city on a nice day. There’s a map of all the sculptures at the WichitaArts.com website.

The 2020-2021 Sculpture Walkabout features 15 works from these artists:

  1. Rollin Karg
  2. Nancy Bole
  3. Jeff Garrelts
  4. Paul Rhodes
  5. Conrad Snider
  6. Garet Reynek
  7. Ed Langston
